SlipSeek is a receipt management service built by Etna Tech (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information SlipSeek handles when you use the service through Telegram and when you visit this website.
How SlipSeek works
SlipSeek operates through Telegram and does not require a separate mobile app. You send receipt photos to the SlipSeek bot in Telegram, and SlipSeek helps you organize, search and report on them.
Information we process
- Receipt images that you choose to send through Telegram.
- Purchase information extracted from those receipts, such as merchant, date and amounts.
- Basic account and contact details you provide, such as your name, business name, email address and phone number.
- Telegram identifiers that are necessary to connect your messages to your SlipSeek account.
- The content of any message you send to us, such as an email to support.
Device permissions
Camera and photo-library access are managed by Telegram and your device’s operating system. SlipSeek does not independently access your camera, photo library, contacts or other device resources. You decide which receipt images to submit.
How we use information
We use information to provide SlipSeek: to read and organize your receipts, to let you search and request reports, to manage your account and plan, to respond to your questions, and to keep the service working and secure.
Telegram, Google and other providers
Telegram. SlipSeek runs through Telegram. Telegram is responsible for its own platform, including your Telegram account, your messages and device permissions, under Telegram’s own terms and privacy policy. Telegram is not responsible for how SlipSeek handles the information that SlipSeek receives and processes. Once you send a receipt or other information to SlipSeek, we are responsible for handling it as described in this policy.
Google. We use Google technologies to provide the service. This may include Google’s AI services to read receipts, and Google services to store records and files. Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply to its services.
Other providers. We may use other service providers, for example for hosting, networking and email delivery, to operate SlipSeek and this website.
Accountant access. If you choose to share your records with your accountant through SlipSeek, they will be able to see the information you share.
This website. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when you open a page. The website does not use advertising or analytics trackers.
Payments
Subscription payments are currently made through Interac e-Transfer. SlipSeek does not collect payment card details to process subscription payments.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information under our control. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as we need it to provide SlipSeek and for legitimate business and legal purposes.
Your privacy requests
To ask about your information or to make a privacy request, email support@slipseek.ca. We handle requests in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
